Mastershade SC2000 & SC2500 Solarshades The SC2000 & SC2500 Mastershade® is an exterior vertical rolling screen system which can be rolled up and down as needed. The fabric runs inside vertical guide Tracks or Cable Guides by means of gravity. When the shade is retracted the fabric is stored in the built-in protective box. A specially designed horizontal weighted Hem bar keeps the fabric taut. The Mastershade® is made of the highest quality extruded aluminum. The SC2000 has a 4"Cassette box.

Maxi and Combi Window Awnings A Maxi or Combi retractable window awning from Sunair® is the ideal solution for complete solar control and privacy in your home. The awnings can be lowered to any position to provide as little or as much sunlight as you want. With traditional awning flair, this modern mechanism is easy to operate, and eliminates seasonal removal and storage. When not in use, the fabric is rolled up and protected by an optional hood or cassette.

EXTERIOR SCREEN FABRICS Mesh vs. Acrylic Introduction SUNAIR® offers the best mesh and acrylic fabric for your screen. More often a mesh fabric is needed because the customer desires solar protection, and still maintaining a view out of the window when the shade is lowered. Sunair® offers mesh fabrics from both Mermet, and Ferrari. Both Mermet and Ferrari are mesh fabrics that offer both exceptional transparency and sun blocking capabilities. Darker vs. lighter mesh colors: Because darker colors absorbs light, darker colors like Bronze, Black, and Charcoal will allow better visibility through the closed fabric screen to the outside. This is important if you desire to have a nice view of the exterior through the screen fabric when it is extended. Darker colors also offer better solar protection than lighter colors. Lighter colors are more neutral on the house, but will offer less solar protection and reflect more light. Lighter colors are therefore harder to see through when the screen is lowered.

Why Should I get Solar Screens instead of window film?

According to studies, solar Screens offer three times the heat blockage compared to window films. Exterior Solar Screens do this by blocking the heat before they ever reach the window glass.

Will Solar Screens block my view?

Solar Screens are great for allowing outward daytime visibility, while at the same time blocking outside intruders from looking in. Screen materials with 80-90% openness offer the best outward visibility.

Will Solar Screens darken the rooms?

Solar Screens still allow plenty of light to come in. The light that passes through is softer on your eyes and does an excellent job of reducing that awful glare on your television set. Our clients have also told us that their plants do well with our 80% Solar Screen material. 90% materials may noticeably darken rooms, but if you have a significant glare problem 90% fabrics may be the fix for you.

How will Solar Screens save on my electric bill?

Studies show savings up to 30-35% on the “cooling portion” of the electric bill (results will vary). Many times the screens will pay for themselves in as little as 2-3 years.

Do Solar Screens reduce fading?

Manufacturing time for Custom Made Solar Screens is normally 3-4 weeks in the busy summer season. Sometimes as little as 2 weeks in our off season months. Shipping via ground freight takes an addition 5-7 days.
